Abrasives and cutting tools exports accounted for 40%
July 07, 2022
From January to September last year, China's abrasives and cutting tools combined accounted for 40% of the export of machine tools, which contributed a lot to the industry's exports, but it was mainly based on low-value raw material exports. The output of artificial corundum and silicon carbide in abrasive abrasives accounted for 68.6% of the export of abrasives, and the ordinary products in the export of cutting tools accounted for 49.8% of the exports. However, the average export unit price of these two products has been greatly improved compared with the same period of last year. It is a welcome phenomenon and it is hoped that efforts will be made to develop high value-added products for export.
Woodworking machine tool exports maintain rapid growth
From January to September last year, China's woodworking machine tool exports have maintained rapid growth (up from January to September, an increase of 28.5%), and the average unit price has increased by 75% year-on-year. Although the overall price is still low-priced products, the average unit price has increased. It is a good phenomenon.
Import and export deficit is increasing
Although the export of machine tools increased by 30% from January to September last year, the export of metal processing machine tools increased by 35.65%, but the growth of imported machine tools increased by 43.59%, of which metal processing machines were 42.09%. In terms of metal processing machines, the import and export deficit in 2003 was 3.75 billion US dollars. According to the current momentum, the import and export deficit of metal processing machine tools in 2004 may reach 5 billion US dollars. Continued efforts to expand machine tool exports is a top priority for the industry.
